Ferguson began pursuing a solo career. Her first album, released on
September 19, 2006, was entitled The Dutchess. The album's name is a
misspelled variant of the former title of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess
of York, with whom Ferguson shares a surname and popular nickname. The
solo deal does not mean the demise of the Black Eyed Peas, as Ferguson

A gritty '70s soul music vibe is something else that the two American Gangsters - the new Denzel Washington film and the Jay-Z album it inspired, which is out today - have in common.
Not long after the rapper saw an early screening, he got a fortuitous
call from his friend Sean "Diddy" Combs, CEO of Bad Boy Entertainment,
urging him to come to the studio to hear some tracks by LV and Sean C.
of Bad Boy's The Hitmen production team.
