What is Oneself?
Oneself Magazines business model is to "educate through entertainment." We create events to not only promote our bi-monthly lifestyle magazine and our advertisers but draw in our target audience, then expose them on our editorial on career development and touch upon grace, health, wealth, technology, fashion and positive attitudes. We've been called "a self-help music magazine" but our vision for our publication is much more focused on career preparation and advice. By interviewing celebrities we hope to reach out to all walks of life ages ranging from 18 to 34 yrs, preferably college educated or career motivated individuals. We've accomplished reaching out and educating thousands of people weekly by being innovative and clever in our marketing campaign strategies. In addition, to increase our circulation, Oneself Magazine will distribute digitally through iTunes music store as of Dec, 2 2008

Submissions
1. Oneself rarely accepts manuscripts. We will, of course, consider such manuscripts, but we cannot take responsibility for the return of any unsolicited material, unless accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Submissions must be exclusive to Oneself. Manuscripts should be sent to the attention of Editorial Department at P.O. Box 340125 Hartford CT 06134. Manuscripts may also be submitted electronically to editorial@Oneselfmag.com.
2. We prefer queries to career development manuscripts. Queries should give a good idea of the proposed article's content and, where applicable, sources. Also tell us your relevant background and send samples of your published writings. Please query us by letter, not by phone. Queries may be mailed to Editorial at the address above. Queries may also be submitted electronically to editorial@Oneselfmag.com.
3. Reason covers local heros, entrepreneurs, music, celebrities, culture, fashion, and technology from a broad-minded libertarian perspective. We look for original analysis and research and do not like simple rehashes of well- worn libertarian positions. We ask that writers read recent issues of Oneself to get a feel for the subjects we cover and the style of writing we prefer. Please send $4.00 for a sample copy.
4. Articles should be submitted typed and double-spaced. If we accept the article, we prefer to receive it in an electronic form, if available.
5. Reason runs articles from 250 to 1,500 words in length.
6. Fees vary. We pay upon acceptance.
7. We try to answer all query letters and to accept or reject manuscripts within six weeks.
8. In all correspondence with us, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Manuscripts to be returned must include an envelope with sufficient postage.

How old is Oneself?
Oneself was founded in 2004, published in 2006, as a publication based at Hartford Connecticut. Early in its history, Dyshann Anderson, became involved in publishing, as first founder and in 1999 after graduating Savannah College of Art & Design, based in Savannah, Georgia.
